The official currency of the Maldives is the Rufiyaa. The rufiyaa is issued in denominations of 2, 5, 10, 50, 100 and 500 and is issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority. Most banks and many businesses on the islands will exchange foreign currency into rufiyaa, many without costly currency exchange fee. The exchange rate between the rufiyaa and the US Dollar will never change

About Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

The Indonesian rupiah uses the international currency code of IDR, the written symbol of Rp, and is the official currency of Indonesia. Issued buy the Bank of Indonesia who mints the rupiah in denominations of Rp 50, Rp 100, Rp 200, Rp 500, and Rp 1000 and paper currency notes in denominations of Rp 1000, Rp 2000, Rp 5000, Rp 10,000, Rp 20,000, Rp 50,000, and Rp 100,000.

The Bank of Indonesia is also considering eliminating the trailing three zeros in currency denominations, this move is not as a devaluation, but as a re-alignment of value assignment.
